About Harbour Yacht Sales
Harbour Yacht Sales is a yacht brokerage located in Fisherman's Cove about two km. south of Horseshoe Bay on Marine Drive in West Vancouver, British Columbia. Click here for more detailed instructions on how to find us.
The company was founded in 1971, and is currently owned and operated by Ray Donaldson. With assistance from Dan Carnrite.
The office is open 6 days a week, Monday thru Saturday, 9 5 pm. (Please note that we're closed on Sundays.)
Harbour Yacht Sales is a member of the British Columbia Yacht Brokers Association and the BC Marine Trades Association.
During the seventies and eighties, Harbour Yacht Sales was the West Coast dealer for a number of Canadian boat builders including Mirage and Bayfield sailboats (when they were still in production). The company continues to serve as an agent for a broad range of pre-owned sailboats and powerboats.
In addition to the brokerage office, Harbour Yacht Sales also operates a 60-slip marina. Clients buying boats from us have first priority in leasing a slip in one of the most sought after locations in the Lower Mainland.
Our selection of pre-owned sailboats and powerboats is one of the best in the area. From entry-level daysailer/weekenders to off-shore cruisers, chances are good that we have the boat you're looking for. But if we don't, our working relationships with other brokers, both here and in the US, will help us find you the boat of your dreams.
Ray and Dan are able to provide expert and reliable guidance during all the steps that lead up to a boat purchase, and those that go beyond. We'll work with you to find the right boat at the right price, help you choose a marine surveyor, and arrange financing, insurance, and moorage.
In short, Harbour Yacht Sales will do everything possible to make your boat buying experience a totally satisfying one.

More about Ray
The most important thing you need to know about Ray aside from the fact that he's a heck of a nice guy is that he has over 30 years of experience in yacht brokerage under his belt. In fact, he's been with Harbour Yachts Sales since 1973, starting out as a broker, later becoming a partner and eventually assuming full ownership of the company. Ray first caught the sailing bug while racing dinghies as a boy growing up in New Zealand. Later, as a young man, while island hopping the South Pacific for eighteen months aboard a fifty-foot ketch his interest in sailing blossomed into a full-blown passion. Looking back it's not surprising his first job after immigrating to Canada was with Harbour Yacht Sales. Since joining the company he's never looked back. He considers himself very fortunate that he's been able to turn his love of the sea and boats into a vocation. When he's not in the office or out on sea trials he can usually be found cruising the Gulf Islands with his wife, Paddy, aboard their 32' Bayfield, Luvrovin.
